Romund registered three goals and a pair of assists in leading the Hockey team to a key weekend sweep of Concordia Wisconsin on the ice. He scored a goal and assisted on two others in a 4-3 Friday before netting two goals in a 5-3 win on the road. Romund has now lit the lamp in four-straight games and has pulled into a tie for the team lead with eight goals and 15 points this season.
Kirmse averaged 25.0 points per game on 68 percent shooting to lead the Men's Basketball team to a pair of wins. He also surpassed 1,000 career points on Saturday in his 73rd career game. He's the 16th player in school history to reach the mark and the seventh to do it as a junior. He scored 24 points against Rockford with six rebounds and three assists midweek. Then, at Edgewood Saturday, he finished with 26 points and four boards.
Krisik led the Men's Volleyball team to a 3-1 record at the season-opening Jim Coleman Invitational, including wins over No. 9 UC Santa Cruz and No. 12 Marymount. He flirted with triple-doubles in each of the first two matches before registering his second career triple-double, and third in program history, against Marymount. Against the Saints, he finished with 11 kills (.444 hit%), 37 assists, 13 digs, and four aces. He had eight kills, 41 assists, and 10 digs against UCSC, then finished with six kills, 52 assists, and 14 digs vs. Mount St. Joseph. For the weekend, Krisik averaged 9.13 assists, 2.75 digs, and 1.69 kills per set while hitting .298 and notching 11 service aces.
Herzog sparked Men's Basketball to two more wins last week, extending the team's winning streak to eight-straight games. He scored 17 points on shot 7-of-8 and 3-for-4 on three's at Wisconsin Lutheran Wednesday in just 15 minutes. MSOE was able to avenge its only loss of the season. He had another 12 points against Lakeland Saturday, hitting 5-of-8 from the field including several key baskets down the stretch.
