Saints Force Raiders To Leave Vegas Without Victory

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Two days before the calendar turns over into a new decade, MSOE women's basketball was back in action looking to avenge their opening loss at the Classic. Unfortunately, the Raiders offensive output was nowhere to be found as they fall to Emmanuel on Sunday afternoon.

MSOE – 34
Emmanuel (Mass.) – 76

MSOE (4-6, 4-1 NACC) never led in their final contest in Las Vegas and were down by 15 after the end of the first quarter. Emmanuel (6-3, 0-0 GNAC) made nearly half of their shots throughout the ballgame and scored at least 20 points in three of the four quarters of play. Meanwhile, MSOE had issues finding the bottom of the basket. The Raiders shot just 24.1 percent from the field and made only one of their 11 three-point attempts. The charity stripe was not kind to MSOE either, as they missed 11 free throw attempts. The Saints excelled in transition, outscoring the Raiders 19-0 in fast break points on their way to a 42 point victory over MSOE.

Points – Lexi Maruga (8)
Rebounds – Danielle Valley (6)
Assists – Amy Reiser (3)
Steals – Lexi Maruga & Britta Grayvold (2)

The Red and White will kick off the 2020 portion of their schedule this Saturday against Lakeland. The NACC contest inside Hotchkin Arena will tip of at approximately 4:15 pm.
